What we want to do
We aim to benefit wild birds and natural habitats in The Straits of Gibraltar, and across the East Atlantic Flyway, using the established measurable conservation methods of the Species Recovery Curve.
We educate and raise awareness and advocate species recovery conservation to wildlife tourists, businesses and governmental organisations.
How we do it
Our team of experts identify key avian species and habitats under threat across the East Atlantic Flyway, where intervention from the FBA will further conservation recovery.
We collaborate with research and conservation organisations and projects to establish the cause of population declines and threats through scientific research, and to enable design and implementation of practical conservation measures, through direct and indirect action.
We use the Species Recovery Curve to assess species and habitat statuses and move to sustainable species recovery management making our input, funding and efforts measurable and with a clear beneficial outcome for the future.

The Flyway Birding Association pulls together expertise, experience and networks from all over the East Atlantic Flyway to prioritise flyway scale conservation management and solutions.

OBJETIVOS
Beneficia a las aves silvestres y los hábitats naturales en el Estrecho de Gibraltar y a través de la ruta migratoria del Atlántico este, utilizando los métodos de conservación medibles establecidos de la Curva de Recuperación de Especies (Species Recovery Curve).
Educar, concienciar y defender la conservación para la recuperación de especies entre los turistas de naturaleza, las empresas y las organizaciones gubernamentales.
ACTIVIDADES
Identificar especies de aves y hábitats amenazados claves, a lo largo de la ruta migratoria del Atlántico este, donde la intervención de la FBA promoverá la conservación para la recuperación de especies.
Colaborar con organizaciones y proyectos de investigación y conservación para establecer la causa de la disminución y las amenazas de la población a través de la investigación científica, y para permitir el diseño y la implementación de medidas prácticas de conservación, a través de acciones directas e indirectas.
Utilice la Curva de Recuperación de Especies para evaluar el estado de las especies y el hábitat y pasar a una gestión de recuperación sostenible de especies.
Recaudar fondos para avanzar en los fines a través de donaciones y actividades de membresía.
Facilitar la participación de los turistas de naturaleza en los objetivos de conservación e investigación a través de actividades de apoyo.
Sensibilizar sobre las amenazas a las especies y los hábitats y las acciones de recuperación de especies a través de las redes sociales, boletines y actividades educativas presenciales utilizando oportunidades nuevas y existentes.
Brindar asesoramiento y promoción a organizaciones de conservación, organizaciones gubernamentales, empresas y público en general para promover la conservación para la recuperación de especies.
Producir un informe anual detallando las acciones de recuperación de especies y el progreso a lo largo de la Curva de Recuperación de Especies para proyectos individuales.

Produce an annual report detailing species recovery action and progress along the Species Recovery Curve for individual projects.
